How to get to Garretstown Beach / Gtown?

To get to  Garretstown Beach:

  • Drive to Kinsale from Cork City
  • From there follow signs to Ballinspittle.
  • Then follow signs to Garrettstown

As soon as you see the main car park you will also see coloured Quiksilver beach flags,  black and white Quiksilver and Roxy changing Marquees and our Kinsale Surf Adventures van. We are the only surf school with warm dry changing facilities and you can safely leave your gear with us as there is a member of staff on our base all of the time.

Garretstown Beach Access & Parking

Parking is right beside the beach and is free.  We have the biggest car park at Garretstown Beach right next to us, there is plenty of room for parking and grass areas to sit and put on / take off your wet suit!

Who can Surf at Garretstown Beach / Gtown?

Garretstown Beach SurfingSurfing at Garretstown Beach or GTOWN as some people call it is a great place for beginners and intermediate surfers to practice their skills. It is best surfed on the lower tide and can have nice easy rolling waves. This makes it the perfect playground and environment for learning during the summer months. Winter can bring more challenging conditions for the more experienced surfers. Garretstown beach has a sandy bottom, and is very safe.
